Last year, MAMAM had the opportunity to work with Villawood Properties on an exciting project at new estate Rathdowne, they're claiming as the North's New icon. We brought together a talented group of artists to transform the new Club Rathdowne facility. The $7 million architecturally designed club boasts top-notch amenities such as fully equipped gyms, resort-style pools, communal barbeque's, tennis courts, and more. Our job was to add vibrant murals to the space that would bring warmth and personality to the community hub.
Despite a tight deadline, our team of experienced project managers and artists worked tirelessly to create vibrant murals that would bring warmth and personality to the community hub. The project spanned across different areas of the facility, including the kids' play area, co-working space, pool area, the kids' wet deck as well as an 80-meter long hand painted banner showcasing locals from the area who submitted photographs of themselves to be featured in the artwork. The murals, all uniquely designed by our team of artists, gave the club a welcoming and playful feel that visitors of all ages can enjoy.
One of the things we're particularly proud of is how our work aligns with Villawood's unique Residents' Club model, which fosters a strong, safe, happy, and friendly community. By creating murals that showcase the local area and its people, we helped create a space where people from all walks of life can meet and make lifelong friendships through various common interests and leisure activities within the facility.
At MAMAM, we understand that managing a project with multiple artists can be challenging, especially when there's a short turnaround time. Our team of experienced project managers worked closely with the artists to ensure that the project was delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality.
